Sea anchor
«

My boat, #675, a Lombard Zero, came with a sea anchor. But the boat has no mooring cleats, so I presume that the line for the sea anchor would get tied off to the stanchions. Are the stanchions strong enough to hold a sea anchor?
On a side note, has anyone in a mini had to deploy a sea anchor? Don't hear about it read about it in accounts of the races.
Thanks,
Tim Seifert

Hi Tim,
I would not use the stanchions or any mooring cleats even if you had them - instead make a bridle that will fit around the chain plates for the running backstays.
