There are only six spots left for the Pac Cup, I am sure more will open up as we get closer to the race date and boats drop out.

Hi All,

Well one decision is made for me - Antidote will not enter the SHTP.
Sorry Santi - it's not on for a whole bunch of reasons.

The Pac Cup is also looking less likely.
Here my challenges are mainly $s.
To do the race I really need a crew member willing to help pay some of the expenses & that isn't looking good right now.

One more thought - the Guadalupe Island.
It is only 600 miles.
It could be a tune-up for both the Pac Cup & the SHTP.
It is a long drive down for me but that is actually more manageable than either the SHTP or the Pac Cup.

Any thoughts from the CA Ministas?

Hi Adrian,

No worries, I'm not 100% sure I'll be in mini-shape enough to go to hawaii this summer anyway.

As for the Guadalupe island, I'd love to do it. My first solo-race was going to be 'Ship Rock', but they are racing today and I'm obviously not racing. Next one (and one I really want to do, as is a classifier to Guadalupe Island) is 'Bishop Rock', 165nm on Feb 26. And then Guadalupe on Mar 26th.

I'm still getting 714 ready and I'll be getting miles under my belt starting next week, so I hope to be ready for Bishop rock and Guadalupe.
